A trembling or wobbling speedometer needle is the classic sign of a worn speedometer cable.
New speedometer cables with sensor were unavailable for a long time. We completely redesigned exactly this variant – to be used just like the original, only with new refinements: new mechanics, new design and a newly developed sensor with integrated diagnostic function, more robust and more precise.

🔧 Good to know
The speedometer stays mechanical – the analogue display in the cockpit does not change. The sensor additionally measures the speed and sends the signal stably to the control unit. Depending on model and equipment, the signal has different tasks – e.g. for the idle, the on-board computer or, on some vehicles, the cruise control.

🔌 Do I need the speedometer cable with or without sensor?
The speedometer cable came from the factory in two versions: purely mechanical or with electronic sensor. Some vehicles always have the sensor, for others it depends on the equipment. If in doubt, look at the back of the speedometer – a small connector with three wires means: you need the version with sensor.
