A flickering or wobbly speedometer needle is the classic sign of a worn speedometer cable.
New speedometer cables with sensors have long been unavailable. We have completely re-engineered this exact variant – to be used precisely like the original, but with new refinements: new mechanics, new design, and a newly developed sensor with integrated diagnostic function, more robust and precise.

🔧 Good to know
The speedometer remains mechanical – the analog display in the cockpit does not change. The sensor additionally records the speed and reliably transmits the signal to the control unit. Depending on the model and equipment, the signal has different functions – for example, for idling, the on-board computer, or in some vehicles, cruise control.
🔌 Do I need the speedometer cable with or without a sensor?
The speedometer cable was available from the factory in two versions: purely mechanical or with an electronic sensor. Some vehicles always have the sensor, while in others, it depends on the equipment. If in doubt, check behind the speedometer – a small connector with three cables means you need the version with a sensor.
