Speedometer cable – Renault 19 / Clio 16V / R21 Turbo | LHD/RHD
Ten years of stagnation – now we're bringing back the speedometer cable. New speedometer cables with electronic sensors have been unavailable for years. If one fails, the speed signal to the control unit is lost, or the speedometer needle vibrates. Not something any classic car enthusiast wants. That's precisely why we're developing a new cable.
Our solution utilizes a newly developed electronic circuit board. The signal is digitally captured and precisely transmitted to the control unit – more robust than the original and with integrated diagnostic functionality. The speedometer itself remains mechanical; the engine control unit receives the speed signal.

🔧 Technical Information & Notes:
The speedometer is still mechanically driven via the cable. So everything remains original and you keep the analog display in the cockpit.
The speed signal is detected by the newly developed sensor, stabilized, and transmitted to the engine control unit . It is important for idle speed , not for the speedometer (except in special cases with an on-board computer).
When ordering, please select your exact vehicle (R19 16V, Clio 16V, R21 Turbo) and the appropriate steering system (left-hand/right-hand drive). The length and routing of the shaft and connector differ depending on the model and steering system.
