The Symptoms:

The Problem:
The steering gear in the R19 is mounted in two rubber bushings, which transmit the complete steering forces to the vehicle frame. Due to an unfavorable design of this mounting and overly soft rubber bushings, the steering gear moves about 3mm when steering, causing noticeable play in the steering.
